Total Department Management

Numed provides on-site departments within hospitals, imaging centers, or physician offices. Numed services include the management and administrative functions of the entire Radiology department or specific modalities within the department. Through strict adherence to established policies, protocols, procedures and best demonstrated practices, Numed provides quality assurance, department licensing and regulatory compliance, including participation in all inspections. Billing is customized to the facility’s data management specifications with CPT code-based charges.

Imaging Equipment

Numed will provide appropriate imaging systems to address specific needs depending on customer preference and site specifications. As part of the complete department, Numed also provides all necessary ancillary equipment.

Reimbursement Assistance

Numed reimbursement specialists are available to answer questions or to assist with specific reimbursement or billing issues. If necessary, a thorough review of the customer’s existing billing program can be conducted with particular emphasis on Medicare Compliance.

Engineering Support & Services

All engineering support and service is provided by Numed through internal field engineers or contracted engineering services. The service includes:

• Scheduled Preventative Maintenance

Service records and logs are maintained by Numed and made available for inspection and review.

Regulatory Compliance & Documentation

Our Licensed Medical Physicists provide assistance with the complexities of licensing and regulatory compliance. They assist with radioactive material license application, amendment and review. Compliance is maintained in accordance with all applicable state and federal regulatory guidelines and requirements.

Numed assists the customer in coordinating the promotion and marketing of the department to the medical community. Customers may choose the level of assistance that will match their specific needs and requirements. The customer works directly with Numed during the implementation phase.
